Adagio is an outdoor seating collection conceived for Cappellini, developed under the art direction of Piero Lissoni. It borrows its tempo from music — slow, deliberate, expansive. Tubular aluminium frames trace uninterrupted arcs. Perforated sheet panels hold light without weight. Polypropylene textiles anchor each element in warmth. Together, the armchair, sofa, and chaise longue compose a space where the invitation is simple: stay longer.

The collection is built on a 22mm tubular aluminium frame, powder-coated in a unifying terracotta. Backrest panels are formed in perforated aluminium sheet.

Seats and cushions are upholstered in polypropylene textile, for high performance and low maintenance.

Materials

Adagio takes its name and spirit from the musical direction:

A tempo that asks for slowness and full presence. Applied to outdoor furniture, this becomes a structural principle: forms that do not hurry, lines that extend beyond the strictly necessary, silhouettes that carry the eye outward before returning it to rest.
